I've only had my Chapin Model 68150 sprayer a few days and today was the first time I actually used it.We have a couple small dwarf sweet cherry trees that get severly attacked by Japanese bettles every spring.I've been using a Mantis Spray Mate sprayer which is a sprayer on wheels, batter powered and very powerful, to spray the trees. This spring my Mantis sprayer, which is over 10 years old, died just as the beetles started their attack. I did not have time to order a replacement ONLINE, and did not want to spend the $500-$600 for a replacement sprayer like my Mantis. I ended up buying this sprayer at Lowes for $69.99.It is sold under the "Spectracide" brand at Lowes, but the owners manual identifies it as a Chapin model 68150 4 gallon sprayer. The sprayer allows 4 pressure settings (15,30,45,60 PSI). It also comes with 3 nozzles to allow different spray patterns.I found that the brass nozzle that comes installed on the sprayer puts out a very fine mist cone pattern. For weed control this would be good, but for spraying trees, I changed to one of the other supplied nozzles that would allow more of a stream pattern. The sprayer is very good at holding pressure. Once pumped up to 45 PSI, it would completely spray one of my trees so the leaves were dripping from top to bottom, just like my old Mantis sprayer did, only this sprayer only cost $69.99 at Lowes.I don't expect to see any more Beetles on those trees until after the next rain washes away the poison. Then I'll spray them again.Note that I had a problem changing the nozzle (the instructions are not real detailed) and had to call customer service. The person I spoke with was very knowledgeable and helpful. The sprayer had no leaks on this first use.I'll update this review in the future as far as long term durability goes. However, my initial experience with this sprayer is very positive, both for the unit itself and customer support.
