(More customer reviews)We picked up this pack for our 115 lb German Shepherd and it's great. You have to be diligent in balancing each side, but our dog doesn't seem to mind it, and it seems to fit comfortably. It has quick-release buckles for all strap connections, no pull straps, so once it's fitted it goes on/off quickly. Buckles are all padded. The strap that goes across the dogs chest could be wider, but it's nevertheless functional. Theupper part of the pack is made of heavy ripstop, and the lower of heavy tafta. It would be nice to have vinyl coating on the lower part for water proofing and durability. Doesn't appear to be water proof, but we haven't tested it either. The saddle bags are sufficiently roomy that the dog can probably carry several days worth of dry dog food, and his various accouterments -- nylon food/water dish, frisbee, ball, etc.
The pack seems comfortable and durable, though our pup has only carried it on 2 packing trips. Overall, seems like the ticket. Recommended.
