(More customer reviews)Even in the small size this pack was too large for my 17 pound Schnauzer/Poodle.Before purchasing I called the company to find out the lower end of size compatibility and was informed this pack would fit my dog.Their ad did not have a lower limit for dog sizes listed.I took up the straps by looping them back and sewing them down, thus making it work.But it would be better to have more information about size ranges.Otherwise it is a good pack and handy that you can take the pouches off without removing the entire pack.

The backpack length from head to rump measures 9 1/2 inches. Medium is recommended for dogs weighing 18-50 lbs with a girth of 26-32 inches. The backpack length from head to rump measures 11 inches. Large is recommended for dogs weighing 50-79 lbs with a girth of 30-40 inches. The backpack length from head to rump measures 13 inches.
