(More customer reviews)I am not the type of person who normally spends time writing reviews.However, I am so thrilled with this product that I felt compelled to write.
I have been looking for a storage container to use on large shelves in my playroom for quite some time.If you have been searching for a container of this size, you know the size is hard to find unless you buy one of those unsightly plastic tub storage bins.I found some woven baskets, but they lasted about a month before they started falling apart.Now I do have a 5-year old who is using them, but he was not unnecessarily rough with them.Then I tried a compromize and bought some slightly smaller plastic bins that were supposed to stack, but the stacking mechanism didn't work.The plastic sides were to stack, and the top bin just kept falling into the bottom one.
These boxes are the perfect size and much more sturdy than the baskets.Now if you have a 5-year old who is going to jump on them or hide in them, maybe not so much.But they can hold a great amount relatively weighty toys (I have one heaping with heavy hot wheels toys and another stuffed with (probably) hundreds (I didn't count, but it sure looks like it) of space and Star Wars toys) and get pulled off of a shelf by a 5-year old without incurring any damage.I haven't had them long enough for them to need cleaning, but it looks like the surface will be quite easy to wipe off.A bonus is that they are collapsible, so when you don't need them for a while, you can fold them up for storage.
I suppose that my only request to the company would be to expand the pattern line.Perhaps they could have a set number of patterns standard, and then have an additional line of options for custom baskets that would take longer to create and deliver.Regardless, my bottom line is:if you're looking for this size and you like a pattern, end your search and buy.
